How It All Started

My Camp History

A graphic designer by profession and camper at heart I couldn't help but intertwine my two loves. Never did I think that I'd be spending my summers volunteering at my kids sleep away camp almost twenty-some odd years after being a camper myself, but here I am into my seventh summer at Camp Louise and I love it just as much.

There isn't a day that goes by in our home where we don't talk about camp. The absolute joy it brings to my heart, hearing their emphatic love for camp, is the reason I started Live, Laugh & Graphics. Yes, there is camp swag out there, but I wanted something more personal and available year round.  The creative juices started flowing and ideas were making their way onto the screen left and right.

My goal is to keep providing personalized and unique items for not only Camps Airy and Louise, but all camps. There are so many inside jokes, traditions, and aspects of camp that only campers will get, but have that lasting impression they'll want to hang onto forever.

A Funny Beginning...

It was 1988 and my mom decided to take me to Camp Greenbriar to check it out and see if the following summer I'd want to go. Well, we went, I stayed, she left, and that was that. 8 years old, and I wanted nothing more than to spend the next 4 weeks at camp and by some miracle I convinced my parents to leave me and ship my things the next day.

...A Continued Tradition

Now, a mom of two, we've carried on the tradition of summers at camp with both kids attending Camps Airy and Louise as fourth generation campers, following their grandfather, great grandfather, and great grandmother. Camp is one of those places that builds so many lasting memories and relationships and even now into my 40s I can still say the friendships I've made at Louise will live well into my old age — as will our children's.

For many years I've designed Bar and Bat Mitzvah event logos for party planners and individuals. Now, I'm combining my services as a graphic designer and swag provider as another way for families to make memories last.

Here are just a few of the logos I've created over the years, each one unique and personal to the Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

Graphic Design

a Washington Capitals hockey themed bar mitzvah logo with a puck, blue and white stars and red wings, and the name of the bar mitzvah boy
a custom designed bat mitzvah logo inspired by the broadway musical, wicked
a custom bar mitzvah logo designed to look like a gatorade logo
bar mitzvah logo illustration with 2 electric guitars placed over black adn red wings, and a banner across with the bar mitzvah boys name
an illustration logo of a girls name written across a surfboard for a surf themed bat mitzvah
